Kanye West Charity Offers Studio Time to Chicago Youths

Sabina Church have teamed up to host "Got Bars?," a 10-week course that will teach students between 15 and 24 to write and record their own music, Chicago radio station WBEZ reports. Grammy-winning rapper Rhymefest, a West collaborator who co-founded Donda's House, will spearhead the studio sessions. The program will also offer exercise and nutrition advice from a former professional football player. The New Immortals: Kanye West Donnie Smith, executive director of Donda's House, said the program is intended to provide activities for young people in the city who often don't have many similar positive opportunities. "Art instruction and particularly music instruction leads people to become better problem solvers, more flexible," Smith said. "There are just so many outcomes that come from the study of music and particularly music writing." Donda's House will release an EP after the course that features participants' songs.
Source: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/kanye-west-charity-offers-studio-time-to-chicago-youth-20130729

Car campers can get the same grand experience for less hassle. Drop the 50-pound backpacks and take the highway to the high country by stopping anywhere on the twisting (hence the name) Hurricane Road for access to a 15-mile loop that boasts the best of the grassy balds. Its the road less travelled, and the high one, at that.
Source: http://www.salon.com/2013/08/02/kanye_west_remixes_the_canyons_trailer/

Kanye West's Gift for the Royal Baby: Hoodies and Jeans

"There have been constant whispers that it's due to go on the market, as long as it stays open to the public and as a place for Elvis fans to visit," said a source. "Kanye is really excited about the prospect of owning it. He thinks it would be really cool if he, Kim and baby Nori [North's nickname] lived there, at least some of the time." The source also claimed that Kanye hopes that restoring Graceland will boost his reputation, adding: "Kanye has always been intrigued by Elvis, especially his influence in bringing blues and gospel music to the masses. Kanye thinks owning Graceland and restoring it to its former glory would cement his place in showbiz history." Kanye West released his new album 'Yeezus' in June of this year. Earlier this week, producer Rick Rubin - who worked with the rapper on the LP - hinted that there was enough material left over from their studio sessions to release a follow-up record .
Source: http://www.nme.com/news/kanye-west/71817

Watch footage of the gig below. It was believed that Yeezy's recent fatherhood was the main reason for him not touring to promote the LP - despite rumours of more shows coming soon. West's appearance saw Travi$ Scott talking to the audience at the El Rey Theatre in LAand asking the technicians to shut off the lights. After getting the crowd warmed up, music began before Kanye appeared from the shadows to peform with Scott to a flood of applause. The duo then performed a rendition of 'New Slaves' together. Watch Travi$ Scott and Kanye West perform 'New Slaves' below: Kanye West noteably played 'New Slaves' on Saturday Night Live, when Ben Affleck was hosting. West showcased several tracks from his new album in live shows throughout the period leading up the release of Yeezus which has had a divided critics and fans alike. More shows are believed to be on the horizon, after Yeezus contributing producer took to Reddit earlier this year, where he was questioned about whether there was going to be a Yeezus tour and whether he would be taking part in Kanye's band. He replied: "Yes and yes." While West went out on a joint tour with Jay-Z to promote their collaborative album, Watch The Throne, and he has recently performed a number of high-profile festival shows, the US rapper has gone on a solo world tour in a number of years after he didn't do so for 2010's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
Source: http://www.gigwise.com/news/83331/Kanye-West-plays-live-for-the-first-time-since-Yeezus-release

Kanye West http://www.kardashiansextaped.com Puts Dramatic Twist On 'The Canyons' Trailer: Watch!

The Sun, a paper more virtuous as a makeshift coaster than as a news source, writes amazingly that Kanye West, eager to share his taste in fashion with the one-week-old heir to the British throne, has shipped Prince George of Cambridge "mini versions of Kanye's [clothing], including skinny jeans and hoodies." (!) Regarding whether royal protocol requires William and Kate to acknowledge this gift of tiny streetwear, an insider tells The Sun, "It depends if the Cambridges want to dress him in it." Some might interpret this report as meaning that Kanye West specially produced miniature versions of the capsule collection he co-designed recently with A.P.C. , but we prefer envisioning the rapper pulling pieces from his own closet and requesting that they be duplicated in smaller sizes for the future king. In a Kanye West kind of way, this gift would be really sweet. (Alternative theory: Kanye caught wind of the fact that Duchess Kate is planning to dress George in 19th-century hand-me-down gowns and vowed to get him some more current clothing, stat.) As long as this is not the first step in a master, 30-year plan to woo Prince George into marrying North West one day, we support Kanye and Prince George's Brotherhood of the Traveling Skinny Jeans. Kanye West wants to buy Elvis Presley's Graceland home for Kim Kardashian

Yeezy worked with editor Nate Brown, updating the look of the trailer, including making the colors brighter and changing up the graphics. While the shots included in this updated trailer remain virtually the same as the original, the pacing feels different, thanks to the sounds of West and audio engineer Noah Goldstein. The new track features a heavy piano and sparse beat. The pace builds, and more notes are added, as the drama of the trailer begins to crescendo. As the trailer nears its end, the volume gets louder and a scratchy effect etches into the piano beat. Instead of including the full credit marque like in the original trailer, Kanye's version ends with a sparse, all-white screen featuring the movie's website.
Source: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1711748/kanye-west-the-canyons-trailer.jhtml
